What is Longevity Berlin?

Longevity Berlin is a free, science-based community for people in Berlin who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Berlin chapter of Longevity Cities and is for anyone curious about movement, nutrition, sleep, stress and good relationships. No medical background needed, just interest in how to age well.

Berlin's calendar mixes easy social formats with expert evenings. Community runs along the Spree start at James-Simon-Park on Saturday mornings and end with coffee, dinners and Stammtisch evenings have taken place in Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, and past meetups included a picnic in the Tiergarten and a run around the Schlachtensee. Talks covered nutrition, biomarkers, the gut microbiome, meditation and breathwork. Coming up: Run & Cake on 17 October 2026 and a first Walk & Talk in Potsdam on 18 October 2026.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Berlin WhatsApp group linked on this page and pick a date from the calendar. Longevity Berlin is a community, not a longevity clinic or test provider. People come here to learn, compare notes on check-ups and biomarkers, and ask experts their questions at talks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Berlin?+
Longevity Berlin is the Berlin chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy ageing. Members meet for community runs along the Spree, Stammtisch dinners, picnics in the Tiergarten and evening talks on nutrition, biomarkers, the gut microbiome and the nervous system. Everyone is welcome, and you need neither a scientific background nor any gadgets to take part.
Is there a longevity clinic or longevity practice in Berlin?+
Yes, Berlin has private longevity practices and check-up providers, but Longevity Berlin is not one of them: we are a free community and do not diagnose, treat or sell tests. In Germany a private longevity check-up typically costs roughly 1,500 to 2,500 euros without imaging and 5,000 to 8,000 euros with whole-body MRI, and statutory insurance does not pay. Before booking, ask what decision each single result would change for you.
Where can I test my biological age in Berlin?+
In Berlin you can order an epigenetic age test by post (roughly 130 to 400 euros), get an extended blood panel through a GP or private lab (roughly 150 to 450 euros), or track fitness markers such as VO2max and grip strength. The website has free calculators for both, plus a face-age test. Berlin evenings like Know Your Numbers on biomarkers in June 2026 help you decide which measurements are worth paying for.
What longevity events and meetups are there in Berlin?+
Longevity Berlin hosts community runs, dinners and Stammtisch evenings, picnics and expert talks. Past highlights include a run around the Schlachtensee with author Bas Kast, evenings on nutrition, biomarkers, the gut microbiome and nervous system resilience, and a masterclass on meditation. Upcoming are Run & Cake on 17 October 2026 and a Walk & Talk in Potsdam on 18 October 2026. All dates are in the calendar on this page.
Is there a longevity running club in Berlin?+
Yes, the Longevity Berlin Running Club meets on selected Saturday mornings at James-Simon-Park and runs a relaxed 5 to 6 km along the Spree at a conversational pace of around 6:30 min/km. It starts with a short warm-up and ends with coffee at a nearby cafe. On 17 October 2026 the next community run starts at 10:00 at Fit Cake near the Museum Island, followed by cake.
Is there a longevity club in Berlin where I can just meet people?+
Longevity Berlin works like a club without a membership fee. The Stammtisch is an informal dinner that grew out of the dinner at SOY in March 2026 and continued at Chay Long in Prenzlauer Berg, and the community has also met for a Sunday brunch, a Tiergarten picnic and a Walk & Coffee. Coming alone is completely normal, and the healthy-food-and-chat format makes it easy to start talking.
What is the difference between Longevity Berlin and Longevity Germany?+
Longevity Germany is the umbrella for the German chapters of Longevity Cities, and Longevity Berlin is the local group for the capital. Several Berlin evenings were hosted together with Longevity Germany, such as the biomarker evening in June 2026, the gut microbiome evening in July 2026 and the Life Summit After-Drinks on a rooftop terrace at Schlossplatz in May 2026. Chapters in cities like Munich and Hamburg run their own calendars.
How do I meet like-minded people in Berlin if I am new to the city?+
Longevity Berlin is a good first step if you are new to Berlin and want to meet people who care about health. Pick a low-key format such as a Saturday run with coffee, a Walk & Talk or a Stammtisch dinner, where talking to strangers is the point. Between meetups the Berlin WhatsApp group is the place to ask where to go next or who else is coming.
What does Longevity Berlin cost and how do I join?+
Longevity Berlin is free: create an account, join the Berlin WhatsApp group linked on this page and sign up for a date in the calendar. Talks such as the gut microbiome evening at a laboratory in Wildau were listed as free to join, and runs cost nothing. You only pay for what you order yourself, for example dinner at the Stammtisch, coffee after the run or cake at Run & Cake.
Are Longevity Berlin events in English or German?+
Most Longevity Berlin events are announced in English, which makes the community easy to join for internationals, and German is welcome everywhere. A few evenings are in German, for example the FutureTalk on health for all in May 2026. Each listing states its language, so you can pick what suits you.
