What is Longevity Cologne?

Longevity Cologne is a free, science-based community for people in Cologne who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Cologne chapter of Longevity Cities and is for anyone who wants to talk about movement, food, sleep and stress with other curious people, whether you know longevity from podcasts or are only just starting.

Since the first Matcha & Walk in March 2026 the chapter has built a mix of easy and thoughtful formats. The Longevity Cologne Running Club meets at the Innerer Grüngürtel, a picnic took place at the Aachener Weiher, and there have been dinners, including a small evening with longevity physician Dr. Anne Latz and an open table during Gamescom week. The Beyond the Hype Night looked at what really moves healthspan, and Bridge2Bridge was a walk, drink and chat in English and German.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Cologne WhatsApp group linked on this page and pick a date in the calendar. Longevity Cologne is a community, not a longevity clinic or a coach. People come here to learn, compare notes on tests and check-ups, and put their questions to experts at talks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Cologne?+
Longevity Cologne is the Cologne chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy ageing that started with its first Matcha & Walk in March 2026. Members meet for running club sessions, picnics, dinners and evening talks. Everyone is welcome, whether you already track your sleep and blood values or simply want to meet people in Cologne who like talking about staying healthy.
Is there a longevity center or longevity doctor in Cologne?+
Cologne has private practices offering longevity check-ups, but Longevity Cologne is not a longevity center: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. A private check-up in Germany typically costs roughly 1,500 to 2,500 euros without imaging, and statutory health insurance does not cover it. When comparing offers, ask which tests follow medical guidelines and which are still experimental, and what you would do differently based on each result.
Where can I have my biological age tested in Cologne?+
In Cologne you can use an epigenetic test by post (roughly 130 to 400 euros), an extended blood panel through your GP or a private lab (roughly 150 to 450 euros), or fitness markers like VO2max and grip strength, which you can estimate for free on this website along with a face-age test. Epigenetic results still vary between providers, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a verdict. Beyond the Hype Night in June 2026 put such tests into perspective.
What longevity events and meetups are there in Cologne?+
Longevity Cologne hosts running club sessions, picnics, dinners, walks and evening talks. Past meetups included Matcha & Walk, a dinner with Dr. Anne Latz at Frau Maher, the Beyond the Hype Night at People People Cafe, a picnic at the Aachener Weiher, The Long Game dinner at Restaurant OASIS and Bridge2Bridge on 26 September 2026. New dates appear in the calendar on this page.
Is there a longevity run club in Cologne?+
Yes, the Longevity Cologne Running Club has met several times since August 2026, starting at the Innerer Grüngürtel near COPT.ZENTRUM on Luxemburger Straße, with morning starts at 9:00 for the first sessions. It began as a Social Run & Drinks and continued as Running Club sessions on weekend mornings in August and September 2026. It is a social run, so the pace suits people who want to talk along the way.
Is there a longevity coach in Cologne with a free first consultation?+
Longevity Cologne is not a coach, but joining is free and you can ask experts your questions at talks and dinners, such as the evening with longevity physician Dr. Anne Latz in May 2026. Many coaches offer a free first call. Before you agree to anything, ask for the full itemised price including follow-up sessions and supplements, and be wary of pressure to buy products.
Where can I find a biohacking and healthy-living community in Cologne?+
Longevity Cologne is a free place in Cologne to talk biohacking and healthy living with an evidence filter. The Beyond the Hype Night asked what really moves healthspan amid wellness trends and biohacking noise. Cologne is also a serious ageing-research city, home to the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, and the Cologne WhatsApp group keeps the conversation going between meetups.
How can I meet new people in Cologne?+
Longevity Cologne is an easy way to meet new people in Cologne, because the formats are built around movement and conversation. Try a Saturday or Sunday morning run at the Grüngürtel, a picnic at the Aachener Weiher or a walk with a drink like Bridge2Bridge at Süd & Salzig Café. Coming alone is normal, and the WhatsApp group helps you find someone to walk in with.
Are Longevity Cologne events in English or German?+
Longevity Cologne events are open to English and German speakers alike. Bridge2Bridge on 26 September 2026 was announced explicitly as welcoming both languages, and most other events are announced in English. That makes the group a good fit for internationals in Cologne. Each listing names the language of a talk.
What does Longevity Cologne cost and how do I join?+
Longevity Cologne is free: create an account, join the Cologne WhatsApp group linked on this page and register for a date in the calendar. Talks like the Beyond the Hype Night were free to join. At dinners such as The Long Game at Restaurant OASIS entry is free and everyone pays for their own food and drinks, and the same goes for the coffee or drink after a walk or run.
