# Zone 2 Training & VO2max: was die Studien wirklich gemessen haben

Deine Fitness sagt in Beobachtungsstudien besser voraus, wann du stirbst, als Rauchen, Typ-2-Diabetes oder eine Herzkrankheit, aber das sind eben Beobachtungsdaten. Die einzige grosse randomisierte Studie, die Ältere auf strukturiertes Zone-2- plus 4x4-Training gesetzt hat (Generation 100, 2020), zeigte bei der Gesamtsterblichkeit nach fünf Jahren keinen Vorteil.
